Sorry for not posting recently. I have been busy but I am still here.
Most notable recent adventures were the Valley of the Kings in Jordan. This was just outstanding. I have also been to France and visited a few places and when I get time I will split the France folder into specific places to make it easier. Amsterdam was great and Basel even on a generally cloudy visit was worthwhile.
In the last six months almost all my photos have been taken with my Canon G7X. Its proven to be a great pocket camera that is just a class above the normal and not far off DSLR. See my page on selecting kit. I did worry that the newer model was going to be better but a chap in B&H in New York said no I had the right one as the G9X is more a "consumer" minded product. So it appears if you are not taking many photos the G9X might be good but if are more serious follow me! Have a look around my recent photos and you will see examples. I generally shoot in Raw but the camera does have some nifty settings that do it all for you and I use them too. Also look at my guide to taking better photos, its not all about the camera!
I am going to focus on Europe for a while as this is an area that I have not explored enough, so if you are new to my blog and web site then hold onto your hat as the future is bright.
As always email if you have any thoughts or views.
